Rega Takes Eighth in Shot Put at Fasttrack Invite

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. - Senior Jess Rega took eighth overall out of 55 Division I, II and III athletes in the shot put with a top throw of 11.98m. Rega currently has the second-best performance in the MAC (13.05m). Junior Danika Ani took 15th in the event with an 11.25.

Freshman Ashlynne Raby turned in a personal-best time of 26.68 in the 200m dash, giving her the top performance in the MAC thus far. Junior Kimberly Hammond clocked a 26.81 in the event. Hammond is currently third in the MAC with a top time of 27.03. 

Raby would also go on to PR in the 400 with a time of 1:02.40 (7th in MAC).

Senior Kelly Winklbauer clocked a solid time in the mile with a 5:19.96, giving her 17th out 44 athletes. Winklbauer sits at second in the MAC with a top performance of 5:14.16. 

Sophomore Jordan Mitchell had a top leap of 4.85m long jump, while Hammond clocked an 8.21 in the 60 prelims.

Results for several events were unavaiable at the time of this post. 

The Mustangs, who are ranked fifth in the Mideast region, compete next at the Susquehanna University Invitational on Saturday, February 16. The meet is the squads' final tune-up before the MAC Championships.
