Swimming Set to Compete at This Weekend's MAC Championships

MAC CHAMPIONSHIP CENTRAL

OWINGS MILLS, Md. – The Stevenson University men's and women's swimming teams are set to compete at this weekend's Middle Atlantic Conference Swimming Championships.  The four-day event kicks off on Thursday, February 14 at Graham Aquatic Center in York, Pennsylvania and wraps up on Sunday, February 17.

Ticket prices for each day are $6 ($3 student) for the preliminary session or $7 ($4 student) for the finals session, with day passes available Friday, Saturday and Sunday for $12 ($5 student).  All-session passes are also available for $30 ($15 student).  Ticket prices include a heat sheet.

In the pre-championship polls released earlier this week, the Mustang women were predicted to finish seventh by the league's head coaches, while the men were slotted No. 12.

Four members of the team are seeded in the top 10 in individual events.  Senior Julianna Burnett is slotted No. 4 in the 100 yard breaststroke and 10th in the 200 yard breaststroke.  Senior Colby Stein is No. 5 in the 100 yard backstroke, while junior Melanie Milam is 10th in the 200 yard backstroke.  Senior Isabelle Ramsland is slotted at No. 7 in the 400 yard individual medley and No. 9 in the 100 yard butterfly.
