Stein Wins Two Events in Mustangs' Dual Meet Setback to King's (Pa.)

WILKES-BARRE, Pa. - Senior Colby Stein picked up victories in two events, but the Mustangs would fall to host King's (Pa.) by a score of 124-63.

Stein picked up her first win in the 50-Yard Freestyle where she clocked a 26.67, which was .34 seconds better than Kings' Melina Good. 

In the 200 Backstroke, Stein touched the wall first with a time 2:18.38. 

Junior Melanie Milam dominated in the 200 Yard IM, touching the wall first in 2:22.81, which was over 7.5 seconds better than the second-place swimmer. Milam would later take second in the 100 Free with a 58.88. 

Senior Isabelle Ramsland earned Stevenson's last win of the day by taking first in the 500 Freestyle with a 5:49.14. Ramsland also picked up a pair of second-place finishes in the 200 Free (2:09.29) and 200 Fly (2:26.02). 

In the 400 Free Relay, senior Natalie Wasicko, freshman Emily Wolff, Stein and junior Bailey Hurt finished with a combined time of 4:00.44, giving them second-place. 

The Mustangs compete next at the two-day Diamond City Invitational, held at the Catholic Youth Center in Wilkes-Barre, Pa., starting on Saturday, November 17.
