Dorsey begins her first season with the Mustangs in 2016, serving as the team's graduate assistant.

Dorsey comes from former CAC-rival Salisbury, where she was the three-year starter at shortstop. With the Sea Gulls, Dorsey played in 148 games with a career batting average of .430, on base percentage of .504, and slugging percentage of .773.

Dorsey ranks second in school history with 34 career home runs and ranks inside the top ten with 144 RBIs and 160 runs scored.

At Salisbury, Dorsey helped the team advance to the NCAA Division III Softball Championship three times. The Sea Gulls, who won two Capital Athletic Conference titles during Dorsey's career, advanced to the National Championship game in 2014.

Dorsey was a three time All-American during her career, including a First Team selection in 2014 and 2016. She was named to the Third Team in 2015. Dorsey was also a three time All-CAC First Team selection from 2014-16.

In 2017, Dorsey was an assistant coach at nearby McDonogh High School with her primarily duties including scouting, defense and in-game pitch calling.

A graduate of nearby Franklin High School, Dorsey graduated from Salisbury University in 2016 with a Bachelors of Arts in Psychology and a minor in Athletic Coaching.
