Mustangs Set Program Record with Second-Place Finish at MAC Championships, Watson, Gash Place Second and Fifth

DOYLESTOWN, Pa. - The Stevenson men's cross country team finished a program-best second overall in the team standings at the Middle Atlantic Conference Cross Country Championships, hosted by Delaware Valley. The Mustangs also set a school record for lowest team score at a conference championship with 56 points, which was just 10 back of MAC-Champion Messiah.

Sophomore Patrick Watson crossed the line in 26:13.7 to finish second overall, which sets a new program record for best finish by an individual in a conference championship meet. Watson, who earned All-MAC First Team honors, finished just 5.3 seconds behind first-place Franklin Livolsi of Messiah. Junior Langston Gash, who placed fifth overall with a time of 26:31.0, earned first team honors for the second year in a row.  

Sophomore Ryan Siegel and junior Aditya Singh finished back-to-back with times of 27:16.6 and 27:20.1. Siegel and Singh, who took home All-MAC Second Team honors, finished 13th and 14 overall. 

Sophomore Nikita Kulick finished the 8k course in 27:45.6, which gave him 22nd overall and a spot on the All-MAC Third Team. 

Sophomore Iddriss Iddriss clocked a solid time of 28:01.3, giving him 27th place and All-MAC Third Team honors.

Juniors Jackson Morrow and Brett Olin ran times of 28:15.7 and 28:38.0, which placed them at 34th and 42nd overall. 

Freshman Sushant Dhaurali clocked a 29:16.2 in his conference championship debut. 

Stevenson will now have two weeks to prepare for the NCAA Division III Mid-East Regional Championships to be held at Big Spring High School in Newville, Pa. on Saturday, November 11. The meet is being hosted by Dickinson.
