Gash Places Second Among Non-Division I Runners at John Paddy Doyle Meet of Champions

BRONX, N.Y. - Junior Langston Gash took second overall among non-Division I runners as the Stevenson men's cross country team competed at the John Paddy Doyle Meet of Champions held at Van Cortlandt Park. Gash's 8k time of 26:51.3 was the 21st fastest time among the 101 runners at the meet.

Sophomore Ryan Siegel clocked a 27:57.8 to take 17th overall of the non-Division I runners, while freshman Aditya Singh ran a 28:00.9.

Sophomore Patrick Watson crossed the line in 28:32.1 for the Mustangs. 

Juniors Sam Mercoli and Jackson Morrow finished back to back with times of 28:50.0 and 28:51.6.

Junior Brett Olin and sophomore Nikita Kulick completed the challenging course in 29:12.6 and 29:40.7, respectively. 

Panth Patel of Johns Hopkins was first among non-Division I runners with a time of 26:48.3, while his school finished first overall with a score of 19. Stevenson finished third with 63. 

The Mustangs will have the week off before heading to the Paul Short Invitational hosted by Lehigh University on Friday, September 29.
