Gash Finishes Third, Leads Mustangs to Second Place at Shannon Henretty Invitational

STEVENSON, Md. - Stevenson men's cross country junior Langston Gash completed the 8k course (4.97 miles) on the Greenspring campus with a time of 26:48.92, which earned him third-place overall at the Shannon Henretty Invitational. The host Mustangs took second in the team standings with a score of 39.

Sophomore's Patrick Watson and Ryan Siegel turned in solid times of 27:13.89 and 27:27.73, which gave them seventh and eighth place. Freshman Aditya Singh finished a spot back of Siegel with a 27:30.93.

Junior Brett Olin solidified the team score for Stevenson with a 13th place finish and a time of 27:46.81.

Olin was closely followed by junior Jackson Morrow and sophomore Iddriss Iddriss, who crossed the line with times of 27:53.49 and 27:59.50, respectively. 

Freshman Sushant Dhaurali completed the course in 28:03.69 to take 17th overall. Sophomore Nikita Kulick and junior Sam Mercoli ran times of 28:14.31 and 28:16.06.

Benjamin Schott of Messiah, who finished with a time of 26:03.62, won the individual title. Messiah also finished atop the team standings, with a total score of 18. 

The Mustangs will head to Iona College in New Rochelle, N.Y. to compete in the John Paddy Doyle Meet of Champions on Friday, September 15.
