Gash Sets School Record, Earns All-Region Honors at NCAA Mideast Regional

CENTER VALLEY, Pa. - Stevenson men's cross country sophomore Langston Gash set a new school record with an 8k time of 25:37 at the NCAA Division III Mideast Regionals, hosted by DeSales. Gash's 22nd place finish also earned him a spot on the NCAA DIII Mideast All-Region Team. Gash is the first Mustang runner in school history to accomplish that feat. 

Stevenson finished 15th overall out of 52 schools, which was the program's highest finish at the NCAA Mideast Regional.

Freshman Patrick Watson ran a personal-best time of 26:36, which gave him 70th place and a spot on the All-Freshman team. Watson is the first freshman in program history to earn those honors. To be on the All-Freshman team, you must finish in the top seven amongst freshman. 

Freshman Ryan Siegel crossed the line just ten seconds behind Watson with a 26:46, while sophomore Sam Mercoli finished in 27:12. 

Sophomore Brett Olin clocked a personal-best time of 27:15 to round out the team score for the Mustangs.

Sophomore Jackson Morrow ran a 27:35, while freshman Nikita Kulick crossed the line with a personal-best time of 27:49. 

Widener's Ernie Pitone won the regional championship with a time of 24:52. Hopkins took the team championship by just one point over second-place Haverford with a team score of 64.
