Mustangs Take Second Place at Goucher Cross Country Classic

TOWSON, Md. - The Stevenson men's cross country team took second place overall out of seven schools at the Goucher Cross Country Classic with a team score of 80. The Mustangs were led by freshman Darius Blalock, who completed the 8k course with a time of 30:42.8. Blalock finished ninth overall. 

Sophomore Adam Michalak crossed the line in 31:30.9 to take 17th overall. Sophomore Zach Brecheen finished just two spots behind Michalak with a time of 31:53.8. 

Sophomore Anthony Mercoli finished with a 32:25.5, while freshman Connor Williams ran a 33:01.4 to round out the team score for the Mustangs.

Connor Nicholson of Navy took the individual title with a time of 28:22.5, while his school took the team title with an impressive score of 18 points. 

The Mustangs will conclude their regular season when they compete in the LVC Last Chance Run Fast meet held at the Union Canal Tunnel Park on Friday, October 21 at 4:30 p.m.
