  • The Mustangs picked up the next four points on kills from three different players (Shorts, Smiley and Reynolds) to grab an 8-3 edge.
  • Once again it was Stevenson who would not allow Endicott to get back into the set as they opened up as big as an eight-point lead twice.  Once on a kill by Gardner (17-9) and a bad set from Lipton made it 18-10.
  • Another kill for Gardner extended the advantage out to nine 22-13.
  • The Gulls would not go away quietly using a 7-2 run closed out by an attack error for Smiley cutting the deficit to 24-20.

  • In the next fourteen points, the see-saw battle continued with each Mustangs point answered by an Endicott score leading to kills from Gardner and Reynolds allowing Stevenson to push the two-point edge out to three 11-8.
  • A Lipton kill trimmed the margin back to 11-9, but a serve error by Dey and a combination block from Reynolds and Shorts pushed the lead to 13-9.
  • Shorts would mishit the following serve making it 13-10.  However, a kill from Shorts and an attack error by Roman finished the set, the rally, and the match 15-10
