Watson Sets School Record in 3000 Steeplechase at Larry Ellis Invite

PRINCETON, N.J. - Junior Patrick Watson broke his own school record in the 3000m Steeplechase with a 9:09.75 at the Larry Ellis Invitational, hosted by Princeton. Watson's time is currently second best in the MAC (Benjamin Schott, Messiah, 8:53.74) and fourth fastest in all of Division III, putting him in prime position to qualify for nationals. 

Junior Iddriss Iddriss clocked a season-best time of 1:53.55 in the 800m Elite Race, giving him the fastest performance in the MAC and third best in the Mideast region thus far.

Iddriss and Watson were the only two athletes for Stevenson to compete in this meet.

Stevenson competes next at the Penn Relays, held at Franklin Field in Philadelphia, starting on Thursday, April 25 through Saturday, April 27.
