Belser Takes Second in 200, Davis Fourth in 200 at Towson Invite

TOWSON, Md. - Senior Kendall Belser took second-place overall and first among Division III athletes in the 200 meter dash with a time of 21.88 seconds in a field of Divison I, II and III athletes at the Towson Invitational. Belser's season-best time of 21.80, which took place at last week's Danny Curran Invite, is currently fourth in the region. Sophomore Dereck Davis placed sixth overall and third among DIII athetes in the event with a 22.28. 

Davis clocked a region-best time of 10.68 seconds in the 100m dash finals to take fourth overall and first among DIII athletes. Davis' time is also tied for the sixth-best performance in all of Divison III. Belser ran a 10.93 in the finals to take the seventh spot. 

In the 4x100m relay, the squad turned in a season-best time of 42.02, giving them third overall and second among Division III teams. 

The Mustangs compete next at the two-day Mondschein Multi, hosted by Kutztown, starting on Thursday, April 6.
