Watson Sets School Record at Season-Opening Curran Invite

CHESTER, Pa. - Junior Patrick Watson placed fourth in the 10,000m run with a school-record time of 30:54.86 at the Danny Curran Invitational, hosted by Widener. Watson's time in the 10,000 is currently fourth best in the region and all of Division III.

Senior Forrest Allen's discus toss of the 39.87 meters earned him third place in the event. Allen's throw is currently 11th best in the Mideast Region. In the shot put, Allen would take 19th overall with a toss of 11.75m.  

Senior Langston Gash clocked a solid time of 14:51.37 in the 5000 to take eighth overall (seventh among DIII runners), while senior Brett Olin ran a 33:47.06 in the 10,000 to take 22nd overall. 

The second and final day of the meet takes place on Saturday, March 30.
