WESTFIELD, Ma. - Junior Kenneth Scott-Kelow took first overall in the triple jump, while sophomore Langston Gash won the 5000 on the first day of the ECAC Outdoor Championships, hosted by Westfield State University.
Scott-Kelow, who had a top mark of 13.98 meters, won the event by .01 meters over Wendell Brand of Farmington State. Gash won the 5000 with a time of 15:17.51.
Sophomore Matt Riggins ran a personal-best time of 10.74 in the 100m dash preliminaries, which earned him a spot in Thursday's finals.
Freshman Ryan Siegel clocked a 33:23.65 in the 10,000, which gave him third overall.
The second and final day of the meet takes place on Thursday, May 18.
