Williams Wins 400, Leads 4x100 Relay Team to School Record at Danny Curran Invitational

CHESTER, Pa. - Stevenson men's track and field senior Devonte Williams took first overall in the 400m dash and led the 4x100 relay team to a new school record at the Danny Curran Invitational, hosted by Widener.

The 4x100 relay team of Williams, sophomore Tylor Bailey, freshman Aaron Holliday and sophomore Matt Riggins set the new school mark with a combined time of 42.03, which gave them first overall in the event. That time also earned the group a spot into the ECAC's.  

Williams would later clock a 49.72 in the 400m dash, giving him first-place overall and another spot into the ECAC's. 

Freshman Nikita Kulick took second overall (first collegiate finisher) in the 3000m Steeplechase with a time of 10:35.29. Sophomore Jackson Morrow clocked a 10:43.07 to take third place.

Junior Curtis McInnis broke his own school record in the hammer throw with a distance of 38.92 meters. McInnis placed fifth overall in the event.

Sophomore Izaiha Pitts and freshman Izaiah Eaves took fourth and fifth overall in the triple jump with leaps of 12.01 and 11.88 meters. 

Sophomore Tevin Bailey jumped a 1.85m in the high jump to take seventh overall, while sophomore Steven Sneed took eighth overall with the same height. 

Tylor Bailey clocked a personal-best time of 22.48 in the 200m dash, which gave him ninth overall. 

Freshman Iddriss Iddriss ran the 800 in 1:59.01 to take eighth. 

The shot put and discus events will take place on Sunday, April 2nd.
