Gash, Siegel Set School Records at Danny Curran Invitational

CHESTER, Pa. - Stevenson men's track and field sophomore Langston Gash and freshman Ryan Siegel set school records in the 5000 and 10,000m run events on the first day of the Danny Curran Invitational, hosted by Widener. 

Gash shattered his previous school record (15:46.30) in the 5000m run with a time of 15:05.89, which gave him 11th overall and a spot into the ECAC Outdoor Championships. Sophomore Sam Mercoli also broke the previous school record that was set by Gash with a time of 15:27.87.

Freshman Ryan Siegel, in his 10,000m debut, broke the previous school record in the event (33:58.42) by over one minute with a time of 32:56.50. Siegel placed 12th out of 32 runners.

Due to rain, the shot put and discus events were moved to Sunday, April 2. 

The second day of competition takes place on Saturday, April 1.
