Williams Sets New School Record in 200 at David Hemery Valentine Invitational

BOSTON, Ma. - Stevenson men's track and field senior Devonte Williams broke his own school record in the 200m dash at the David Hemery Valentine Invitational, hosted by Boston University. Williams' time of 21.66 seconds gave him sixth place overall out of 225 Division I, II and III competitors. 

Earlier in the day, Williams clocked a 7.01 in the 60m dash, which gave him 11th overall in the event.

Junior Adam Diabagate broke his own school record in the triple jump with a top leap of 14.09 meters, which gave him 10th place overall. Senior Kenneth Scott-Kelow missed his personal best by just .01 meters with a 13.85. Scott-Kelow finished 12th overall.

Sophomore Matt Riggins shattered his previous personal best in the 400m dash by 1.69 seconds with a time of 50.06. Riggins also set a new personal mark in the 200m dash with a 22.52, which is a .62 second improvement from his previous best time. 

The Mustangs compete next at the Susquehanna University Invitational on Saturday, February 18, which is their final tune-up before the conference championships.
