Gash, Iddriss Set School Records at Seamus McElligot Invitational

HAVERFORD, Pa. - Stevenson men's track and field sophomore Langston Gash set a new school record in the mile at the Seamus McElligot Invitational, hosted by Haverford. Gash's record-setting time of 4:22.87 gave him fifth place overall and also qualified him for the ECAC Indoor Championships.

Sophomore Sam Mercoli finished less than five seconds back of Gash with a season-best time of 4:27.47 and an eighth place finish. 

Freshman Iddriss Iddriss set a new school mark in the 800 with a time of 1:58.75, which earned him sixth place out of 34 competitors. Sophomore Anthony Mercoli ran a season-best 2:04.78 and finished 16th overall.

Freshman Ryan Siegel clocked a 16:35.66 and placed 10th overall in his 5000m run debut. 

The Mustangs compete in their final tune-up before the conference championships at the Susquehanna University Invitational on Saturday, February 18.
