Sneed Sets School Record in Heptathlon at Dutchmen Invitational

ANNVILLE, Pa. - Stevenson men's track and field sophomore Steven Sneed set a new school record in the heptathlon with 3888 points at the Dutchmen Invitational. Sneed finished fourth overall in the event. 

Sneed's performance in the heptathlon included a first place finish in the long jump where he leaped 6.48 meters. He also finished tied for first in the high jump with a top height of 1.86 meters. 

In the 55 meter hurdles, Sneed took second overall with a time of 6.51 seconds, which was just .04 seconds behind Aaron Gray of Messiah.

Sneed's overall score in the event is currently the 12th best in Division III. 

The Mustangs compete next at the Orange and Maroon Classic on Saturday, January 21.
