NEW YORK, N.Y. - Stevenson men's track and field juniors Adam Diabagate and Curtis McInnis set new school records as the Mustangs competed in the Tiger Invitational, held at the Armory Track in New York. Diabagate took sixth overall in the triple jump with a school record leap of 14.04 meters.
McInnis set a new school mark in the weight throw with a top toss of 13.92 meters.
Senior Devonte Williams took third overall in the 200m dash with a season-best run of 22.13 seconds. Williams also took eighth in the 400 with a solid time of 50.90 seconds.
Sophomore Langston Gash just missed breaking his own 3000m run school record of 9:03.74, with a 9:03.77. Gash finished 11th overall in the event.
Sophomore Tevin Bailey took sixth overall in the high jump with a top leap of 1.93 meters, which earned him a spot into the ECAC Championships in March.
Freshman Iddriss Iddriss ran a personal best in the 800m run with 2:00.59, which earned him sixth place overall. Sophomore Sam Mercoli ran a season-best time of 4.29.34 in the mile, giving him ninth place.
Sophomore Tylor Bailey clocked a 7.16 in the 60m dash, which gave him the 16th spot.
Senior Kenneth Scott-Kelow leaped a 6.32 in the long jump to take 11th.
The Mustangs compete next at the Terrapin Invitational, hosted by the University of Maryland on Saturday, January 21.
