SELINSGROVE, Pa. - The Stevenson men's track and field team set two school records and qualified for the ECAC Championships in four events as they opened their indoor season at the River Hawks Opener, hosted by Susquehanna.
The 4x200m relay team of sophomore Tylor Bailey, freshman Jeremy Middlebrooks, junior Devonte Williams and sophomore Matt Riggins set a new school mark and qualified for the ECAC Championships with combined time of 1:30.86.
The same group would later go to take first in the 4x400 with a time of 3:29.32.
Individually, Williams placed first overall in the 200m dash with an ECAC qualifying time of 22.37.
Junior Curtis McInnis set a school record in the weight throw with a top toss of 13.00 meters. McInnis finished second overall in the event.
Junior Adam Diabagate qualified for ECAC's in the triple jump with a top leap of 13.45 meters, which also earned him second overall. Diabagate also took second in the long jump with a 6.47m jump.
Freshman Aaron Holliday opened up his collegiate career with a 7.07 in the 60m dash finals, which gave him second overall and a spot in the ECAC's. Sophomore Malcolm Hayward, who also qualified for the finals, clocked a 7.28.
Freshman Jeremy Middlebrooks opened up his career with a 52.77 and fourth place finish in the 400.
The Mustangs will resume their indoor season after the winter break when they compete at the Ramapo College Season Opener held at The Armory in New York City on Friday, January 13.
