STEVENSON, Md. - The Stevenson men's tennis team fell in its non-conference home match to Elizabethtown by an 8-1 score. Senior Bryan Gieselman and junior Wornden Ly improved their No. 1 doubles record to 11-8 with an 8-4 victory.
Gieselman dropped his No. 1 singles match in straight-sets, 6-1, 6-2, while Ly suffered a 6-4, 6-2 setback in No. 2 singles.
Sophomore Douglas Vaughan and junior Robbie Koons picked up five games in their No. 3 doubles match, but would fall by an 8-5 score. Vaughan would later drop his No. 3 singles match in straight sets, 6-3, 6-4.
Junior Mike Richmond had a one-set lead in No. 6 singles, but would eventually lose the match in a hard-fought third set tiebreaker, 10-8.
The Mustangs (5-11, 4-1 MAC Commonwealth) continue their conference schedule in a home match against Arcadia on Saturday, April 22 at 3:30 pm.
