Gieselman Wins Third-Straight Match in Mustangs' 6-3 Loss to FDU-Florham

HILTON HEAD, S.C. - Stevenson men's tennis senior Bryan Gieselman won his third straight No. 1 singles match in the Mustangs' 6-3 defeat to FDU-Florham. Gieselman won his match over FDU-Florham's Rich Bennett, 6-0, 6-4. 

Earlier in the day, Gieselman and junior Wornden Ly won their second-straight No. 1 doubles match by an 8-5 margin. 

Sophomore Douglas Vaughan picked up the other win for Stevenson in his 6-4, 6-1 No. 3 singles victory. The win was Vaughan's second straight. 

Seniors Kevin Slujtner and Tony Beres dropped a heart-breaking match in No. 3 doubles, 9-8 (7-4 tiebreak).

Ly won seven games in his 6-4, 6-3 setback in No. 2 singles, while Slujtner picked up five games in a straight-set defeat. 

The Mustangs (1-7) compete next in a home match against Penn State Harrisburg on Friday, March 24 at 3:30 pm.
