Men's Swimming Wins Seven Events in Setback to Host Gallaudet

WASHINGTON, D.C. - The Stevenson men's swimming team picked up seven victories, but would eventually fall to host Gallaudet by a score of 83-71.

Senior Adam Michalak notched three first-place finishes on the day, with the first coming in the 100-Yard Breaststroke, where he clocked a 1:11.68. In the 50 Free, Michalak just beat out teammate/sophomore Brian Brown with time of 27.15. Brown would touch the wall second with a time of 28.07. Michalak closed out his day with a win in the Breaststroke, clocking a 2:51.14.

Brown picked up the first of his two victories in the 200-Yard Freestyle, where he touched the wall in 2:11.68. Brown's other win came in the 500 Free where he clocked a 5:41.28.

Junior Stephen Kratzer picked up a win in the 100-Yard Free with a 52.97. Kratzer was the lone swimmer in the 100 Fly, where he swam a 57.60. 

The Mustangs compete in their final tune-up before the MAC Championships when they host Arcadia on Senior day. The meet will take place at the McDonogh School on Saturday, January 26 at 2:00 p.m.
