Cather Places Fifth in 200 Fly on Final Day of MAC Championships

YORK, Pa. - Senior Zachery Cather placed fifth overall in the 200 Butterfly on the fourth and final day of the Middle Atlantic Conference Swimming Championships, held at the Graham Aquatic Center. Cather set a season-best in the preliminaries of the event when he swam a 1:59.64.

Cather, who was the first member of Stevenson men's swimming program, amassed eight top-15 finishes in his career at the MAC Championships, including four top-10 finishes in the 100 and 200 Butterfly events. Cather's best finish in the conference championships occured last season, where he placed fourth overall in the 200 Fly with a school record time of 1:58.81.

Along with the 200 Yard Butterfly, Cather currently owns the school record in the 50 Free (22.52), 50 Back (26.78), 50 Fly (26.58), 100 Fly (53.23) and 100 IM (59.98) events.

Junior Adam Michalak clocked a personal-best time of 55.03 in the 100 Freestyle, while freshman Brian Brown completed the 1650 Free in 19:18.27.

The Mustangs finished 12th overall in the team standings with 21 points. Albright earned its second-straight MAC team title and seventh in the last eight years with 615 points.
