OWINGS MILLS, Md. – Four members of the Stevenson University men's lacrosse team were named to the IMLCA All-Region team in the South Region Tuesday. Senior Harrison Faecher, junior JT Thelen and sophomore Justin Burnette were First Team selections, while sophomore Ethan Christensen was an Honorable Mention selection.
All four were named USILA Division III Honorable Mention All-America selections earlier.
Faecher, an ECAC and MAC Commonwealth First Team choice who played in the North-South All-Star Game, finished the season with 30 goals and 20 assists for 50 points. He also picked up 33 ground balls and finished with multiple goals in 10 games on the season.
Thelen, the ECAC and MAC Commonwealth Offensive Player of the Year, totaled 70 goals and 29 assists this season. He finished 10th nationally in goals per game and 13th in points per game, while his 16 man-up goals are No. 2 in Division III. His 99 points are the second-highest single season total ever by a Mustang.
Burnette, a MAC Commonwealth First Team and ECAC Second Team choice, established himself as one of the top faceoff specialists in the country. He won 71% of faceoffs (320-451) to rank fourth nationally, while he picked up 180 ground balls and placed No. 8 nationally in ground balls per game.
Christensen, a MAC Commonwealth First Team selection, shifted from midfield to attack early in the season and finished with 46 goals and a team-high 35 assists for 81 points. He finished second behind Thelen in the MAC Commonwealth in points per game and ranks third in the league in assists per game and sixth in goals per game.
Stevenson made its 10th straight NCAA appearance after winning its sixth consecutive MAC Commonwealth championship in 2018.
