PERRY, N.Y. – Seniors Kyle D'Onofrio and Wade Korvin of the Stevenson University men's lacrosse team have been named to the South squad to compete in the 76th United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) North-South All-Star Game on Friday, May 26 on the campus of Providence College in Providence, R.I. The Division III game begins at 3:00 pm, while the Division I-II game is slated for a 5:30 pm faceoff. Tickets will be available at the gate at Providence's Chapey Field at Anderson Stadium.
Since 2007, a total of 19 Stevenson players have participated in the USILA North-South All-Star Game.
D'Onofrio, a First Team ECAC All-Star and a MAC Commonwealth First Team All-Conference selection for the Mustangs, totaled 50 goals and 24 assists in 20 games in 2017 out of the midfield, while also recording 51 ground balls. He had at least one goal in every game this season and also recorded multiple goals on 13 occasions. D'Onofrio wraps up his four-year career with the Mustangs with 107 goals and 51 assists for 158 points.
Korvin, a MAC Commonwealth Second Team selection, totaled 37 goals and 18 assists in 20 games for Stevenson in 2017 to rank third on the team in scoring. Korvin recorded multiple goals on seven occasions, including an eight-goal outburst against Arcadia on April 1 that earned him USILA Division III South Offensive Player of the Week honors. In two seasons in a Mustang uniform, Korvin totaled 72 goals and 37 assists for 109 points.
The Stevenson men's lacrosse team finished 14-6 overall and ranked No. 13 USILA Division III poll. The Mustangs won their fifth consecutive MAC Commonwealth championship and made their ninth straight NCAA tournament appearance.
