OWINGS MILLS, Md. - Due to the anticpated heavy snow and winter weather expected in the region this week, Wednesday's men's lacrosse game between the No. 2-ranked Mustangs and No. 17 Roanoke has been postponed until Tuesday, April 9 and will now be played at Roanoke's Kerr Stadium in Salem, Virginia.
Stevenson (4-0) leads the all-time series with the Maroons 3-2, including 1-1 on the road. The two teams have met four times since 2010 with the Mustangs winning three of those. However, Roanoke won the last meeting between the two, 13-12 in the quarterfinals of the NCAA Division III Men's Lacrosse Championship on May 18, 2011.
Stevenson is 1-0 on the road this season and 1-0 against the Old Dominion Athletic Conference after posting an 11-5 victory at Hampden-Sydney on February 23.
Meanwhile, the Maroons are 1-1 this year and have not played since a 13-5 win over Kenyon at home on February 23. The game with Stevenson on April 9 will be one of three in a span of just five days for Roanoke who also plays No. 3 Lynchburg and Bridgewater in conference play.
As a result of Wednesday's postponement, the next home game for the Mustangs will be this Saturday, March 9 versus local foe Goucher when the two teams meet for the first time since a 13-9 Stevenson victory at home on Mar. 14, 2007.
