Inside Lacrosse Picks Men as No. 6 Moment of 2009

2009 Review

OWINGS MILLS, Md. - The preseason honors and accolades continued for the Stevenson men's lacrosse team on Monday as Inside Lacrosse selected the Mustangs as the sixth-best moment of the year in college lacrosse in its 2009 Review:  Top 10 on-field moments of the lacrosse season. Stevenson was the lone team from Division II or III.

The Mustangs were selected largely because of their 12-8 victory at Salisbury on April 3, 2009 that handed the Sea Gulls their first CAC loss, snapping a 105-game winning streak.

Stevenson would go on to assume the nation's final No. 1 ranking and knock off Salisbury for the second time in the NCAA quarterfinals at home. The Mustangs finished the season with a school record 17 victories.
