Bruneteau joins the Mustangs coaching staff for the inaugural 2016-17 season, serving as the team's assistant coach.
A four-year defenseman at Lake Superior State University, Bruneteau has spent that last two years playing for the Etoile Noire de Strasbourg club in France. During his time in France, Bruneteau appeared in 52 games, totaling 10 points on three goals and seven assists.
Prior to his stint in France, Bruneteau played two seasons in the East Coast Hockey League (ECHL) for both the Fort Wayne Komets and Greenville Road Warriors coming out of college.
At Lake Superior State, Bruneteau played a combined 146 games totaling 18 points on three goals and 15 assists. He was named captain as a senior after serving as an assistant captain during his junior year. Bruneteau was also a three-time recipient of the Jim Howie Unsung Hero Award.
As a senior, he Bruneteau led the team with 76 blocked shots while playing in all 36 games. He also led the team in blocked shots as a junior and sophomore with 98 and 89, respectively. Bruneteau also totaled 50 blocked shots in his rookie season.
Prior to Lake Superior State, Bruneteau spent two seasons with the Lincoln Stars in the United States Hockey League (USHL), serving as the team captain his second season. He played 96 games for the Stars and totaled 13 points on three goals and 10 assists.
Bruneteau is a 2014 graduate of Lake Superior State University with a Bachelor's degree in exercise science.
