Geis Fires Personal-Best 68, Wins Stevenson Fall Invite by Nine Strokes

UPPERCO, Md. - Senior Wynn Geis fired a personal-best three-under par 68 en route to taking first place at the Stevenson Fall Invitational, held at the Piney Branch Golf Club. Geis, who picked up his first career victory, won the tournament by nine strokes.

The host Mustangs' "A" team finished just two strokes back of Stevens Institute with a team score of 323. Stevenson's "B" team finished third with a score of 327.

Junior Matthew Maione (A) finished in a second-place tie with Luke Labenski of Stevens with six-over par 77. 

Freshman Shane Angle (A) carded a 79, giving him fourth-place overall. 

Senior Josh Maisel (A) carded an 83, while both junior Johnny Messina (A) and junior Matthew Shur (A) finished a stroke back with an 84.

Both graduate student Matt Rentz and junior Evan Welsh, both carded scores of 84 for Stevenson "B".

The Mustangs conclude the fall season when they compete in the LVC Dutchmen Invitational, held at the Lebanon Country Club, on Monday, October 22 at 12:00 p.m.
