Shur Finishes Tied for 14th at Franklin & Marshall Invite

LANCASTER, Pa. - Junior Matthew Shur shot a three-over par 74, placing him into a tie for 14th at the Franklin & Marshall Invitational, held at the Bent Creek Country Club. Shur now has two top-15 finishes on the year. 

The Mustangs finished ninth overall out of 17 schools with a combined score of 312.

Freshman Shane Angle, who carded a six-over par 77, has shot under 80 in five of his first seven collegiate rounds.

Senior Josh Maisel finished the day with an 80, while junior Matthew Maione finished a stroke back with an 81.

Freshman Mike Festa shot an 82 for Stevenson.

Andrew Kornish of Penn State finished atop the leaderboard with a four-under par 67. Franklin and Marshall White won the team championship by seven strokes over Franklin and Marshall Blue with a score of 284 (E). 

The Mustangs will tee off next when they host the Stevenson Fall Invitational, held at the Piney Branch Golf Club, on Saturday, October 20. Opening tee is set for 1:00 p.m.
