Maisel Shoots 74, Finishes Tied for 13th at Mason-Dixon Collegiate Classic

ABBOTTSTOWN, Pa. - Senior Josh Maisel shot a two-over par 74 to finish tied for 13th at the Mason-Dixon Collegiate Classic, held at The Bridges Golf Club. Maisel improved on his opening round score by three strokes, giving him a two-day score of seven-over par. Maisel has shot under 80 in each of his five rounds this fall season.

The Mustangs finished 12th in the team standings with a combined score of 626 (+50).

Junior Matthew Maione improved on his opening round score by nine strokes with a 74, placing him into a tie for 45th. 

Senior Wynn Geis and junior Matthew Shur both finished with two-day scores of 161 to close out the team scoring for Stevenson. Geis finished three strokes better than the previous day with a 79. 

Freshman Shane Angle ended the tournament with a two-day total of 164. 

Shawn MacBurnie of McDaniel won the individual title by one stroke with a score of one-under par. St. John Fisher won the team title by one stroke over Christopher Newport and McDaniel with a total tally of 22-over par. 

The Mustangs compete next at the Franklin and Marshall Invitational, held at the Bent Creek Country Club, on Monday, October 15 at 12:00 p.m.
