Maisel Cards 77 To Open Up Mason-Dixon Collegiate Classic

ABBOTTSTOWN, Pa. - Senior Josh Maisel shot an opening-round score of 77 at the Mason-Dixon Collegiate Classic, held at The Bridges Golf Club. Maisel, who is currently tied for 32nd, has shot under 80 in each of his first four rounds this season.

The Mustangs currently sit in a tie for 11th with a team score of 318. 

Freshman Shane Angle, who finished the day with a 79, has shot under 80 in four of his first five collegiate rounds. 

Junior Matthew Shur carded an 80, while senior Wynn Geis shot an 82 to complete the team score.

Junior Matthew Maione finished a shot back of Geis with an 83.

Julian Gonzalez of Goucher fired a three-under par 69 and currently leads the tournament by two strokes over second-place Tyler Newton of York (Pa.). York (Pa.) leads the team standings by six strokes over Rensselaer with a score of 294 (+6). 

The second and final day of the tournament takes place on Sunday, October 7.
