CAMP LEJEUNE, N.C. - Stevenson men's golf sophomore Matthew Shur shot an 83 to lead the Mustangs in the second round of the Camp Lejeune Intercollegiate held at the Paradise Point Golf Course. Shur carded a spring-best score of 76 to open up the tournament.
The Mustangs currently sit at 28th overall out of 30 schools with a two-day total of 645 and will compete on the Scarlet Course in Sunday's final round.
After carding a team-best 74 in the opening round, junior Josh Maisel shot an 86 for a total score of 160.
Senior Austin Fuglestad carded his best score of the young spring season with a 78 in the opening round. On the second day, Fuglestad shot an 84 for a two-day total of 162.
Heading into the final round of play, Methodist leads the team standings with a combined score of 565, while Jake Arnett of Oglethorpe is the top individual player with a two-day total of 138.
