Shur Shoots 78 in Second Round of NCAA Championships

HOWEY-IN-THE-HILLS, Fla. - Freshman Matthew Shur shot a 78 to lead the Mustangs in the second round of the NCAA Division III Championships, held at the Mission Inn Resort & Club. Shur, who finished with a combined score of 164 (+20), finishes his freshman campaign with 12 rounds under 80. 

The Mustangs finished the tournament tied for 36th with a two-day score of 657 (+46). The top 18 schools advance to the final two rounds. 

Freshman Andrew Wally and junior Austin Fuglestad both finished the tournament with two-day scores of 163.

Freshman Matthew Maione carded an 87 on the second day to finish with a combined score of 167. 

Wynn Geis finished the tournament with a two-day score of 179.

Addison Lambeth of Huntingdon College leads the field with a score of three-under par, while his school leads the team standings by four strokes with a combined score of eight-over par.
