Fuglestad Shoots 77 in First Round of NCAA Championships

HOWEY-IN-THE-HILLS, Fla. - Stevenson men's golf junior Austin Fuglestad shot a 77 in the opening round of the NCAA Championships, held at the Mission Inn Resort and Club. Fuglestad has shot four-straight rounds under 80.

The Mustangs are currently tied for 30th overall with a team score of 323.

Freshmen Andrew Wally and Matthew Maione each shot an 80 to open the tournament, while freshman Matthew Shur completed the team score for Stevenson with an 86. 

Wynn Geis carded an 88 on the day for the Mustangs.

Addison Lambeth of Huntingdon College currently leads the field by one stroke after firing an opening round score of 69 (-3), while his school leads the team standings with a combined score of 293 (+5).

The second round takes place on Wednesday, May 17.
