Mustangs Fourth, Fuglestad Tied for Fourth After First Round of MAC Commonwealth Championship

HERSHEY, Pa. - The Stevenson men's golf team is currently tied for fourth after the opening round of the MAC Commonwealth Championship, held at the Hershey Country Club. The Mustangs, who shot a combined score of 321, are currently 14 strokes behind first-place Lebanon Valley. 

Junior Austin Fuglestad opened up the tournament with a 77 (+6), which is his second-lowest round this spring. Fuglestad is tied for fourth overall on the leaderboard. 

Freshman Matthew Shur shot 80 in opening round to finish tied for 13th.

Freshmen Matthew Maione and Andrew Wally each carded an 82 to finished tied for 18th. 

Wynn Geis finished the day with an 89. 

Thomas Moran of Lebanon Valley currently leads the field with a 74, which is one stroke ahead of teammate David Herbst and Jordan Kirsch of Messiah. 

The second and final round takes place on Sunday, April 30.
