Wally Places Second, Mustangs Tied for Third at Messiah Falcon Classic

HARRISBURG, Pa. - Stevenson men's golf freshman Andrew Wally placed second overall at the two-day Messiah Falcon Classic held at the Blue Ridge Country Club. Wally finished with a two-round score of 146 (+2) , which was just one stroke behind tournament champion Jordan Kirsch of Messiah.

Wally ends the regular season with four top-five finishes.  

The Mustangs, who finished with a team score of 630, finished tied for third with Messiah.

Freshman Matthew Maione, who played as an individual, shot a 76 in the second round for a combined score of 153. Maione, who finished eighth overall, has four top-ten finishes on the year.

Freshman Matthew Shur carded a 76 in the final round, which gave him a two-day total of 158.

Wynn Geis carded an 81 for the second day in a row to place into a tie for 23rd. 

Junior Austin Fuglestad and freshman Johnny Messina finished with two-day scores of 167 and 168, respectively.

Franklin and Marshall took the team title with a combined score of 607. 

The Mustangs compete next at the two-day Middle Atlantic Conference Commonwealth Championship held at the Hershey Country Club on Saturday, April 29 through Sunday, April 30.
