OWINGS MILLS, Md. – The Stevenson University men's basketball program will host the annual Buffalo Wild Wings Classic this Friday and Saturday (November 16-17) at Owings Mills Gymnasium.
On Friday, November 16, FDU-Florham takes on Pitt-Bradford in the first game at 6 pm, followed by the host Mustangs entertaining Clarks Summit at 8 pm. On Saturday, the consolation game takes place at 2 pm, with the championship contest set for a 4 pm tip.
Stevenson is coming off an 11-win 2017-18 campaign, returning seven players from that squad. The Mustangs opened their season this past Saturday with a setback to Scranton, with newcomer Montaque Wright recording 26 points in his Stevenson debut.
Clarks Summit is searching for its first victory under first-year head coach Brian Deschaine. The Defenders got 15 points from Marcus Dixon in their most recent outing against Saint Elizabeth. Dixon is averaging 16.3 ppg through the first three games.
FDU-Florham is 1-2 thus far, including an eye-opening 69-68 victory over 2018 NCAA tournament team Yeshiva on Sunday. Darren Davy leads three Devils averaging double figures with his 17.3 ppg average.
Pitt-Bradford enters the weekend having played just once, a season-opening loss to Keuka. Justin Kusiappouh totaled 13 points and eight rebounds in the setback, while Reggie Rogers added 11 points.
Last season Stevenson captured the Buffalo Wild Wings Classic with a 75-68 victory over Merchant Marine.
