Preston Addo Named First Team All-Region Release

MINNEAPOLIS – Senior Preston Addo of the Stevenson University football team was selected to the All-East Region team announced late Tuesday.  Addo was named to the team twice, collecting First Team honors as a return specialist, while being named to the Second Team as a wide receiver.

The teams, selected in balloting by East Region sports information directors and staff, were chosen from 321 nominations by Division III member schools. A total of 77 players were chosen. Players nominated for All-Region are eligible to be considered for All-America honors, which will be announced the evening of Dec. 15, in's pregame coverage for Stagg Bowl XLV.

Addo, a Middle Atlantic Conference First Team All-Conference selection as both a receiver and returner, averaged 20.9 yards on 17 kick returns in 2017, while also returning 22 punts for 234 yards, including an 83-yard punt return for a touchdown at FDU-Florham on September 16.  As a receiver, Addo caught 67 balls for 1,234 yards and 11 touchdowns, leading the MAC in reception yards and ranking second in receiving TDs.  He had a program-record 230 receiving yards on 10 catches in a win at Wilkes on November 4.

Addo finished his career with 138 receptions for 2,358 yards and 25 touchdowns., while finishing his career with over 3,700 all-purpose yards, including 1,878 as a senior.

Stevenson made its fourth straight postseason appearance in 2017, qualifying for the ECAC James Lynah Bowl played at the University of Delaware on November 19.
