ANNVILLE, Pa. – Stevenson University football freshman kicker Ian Gould was named the Middle Atlantic Conference Special Teams Player of the Week for the second straight week on Sunday.
Gould finished with eight points in Saturday's 20-14 win over Lycoming, booting a pair of third-quarter field goals from 19 and 28 yards, as well as converting a pair of extra point attempts, in the victory. The two third quarter field goals extended the Mustang lead from 14-7 to 20-7.
Gould also averaged 50 yards on three kickoffs on the day.
For the season, Gould is 12-14 in field goal attempts and has converted all 37 point after attempts on the season. He leads the Mustangs in scoring with 73 points and leads all MAC kickers in scoring while ranking fourth overall in the conference.
Stevenson, 6-4 overall, awaits word of a potential ECAC Bowlfest berth. Those selections will be announced Monday at 12:30 pm.
