Mustangs Finished the Season Ranked at No. 20 in D3football.com Top 25 Poll

OWINGS MILLS, Md. - After winning its first-ever Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) title and advancing to the 2016 NCAA Division III Football Championship, the Stevenson football team finished the year ranked at No. 20 in the D3football.com Top 25 Poll.

The Mustangs (9-2) earned the program's first-ever ranking on September 11 after a 2-0 start before climbing all the way to No. 14 in the D3football.com Top 25 Poll while also ranking as high as No. 12 in the AFCA Division III Poll.

Nationally, Stevenson finished the 2016 season ranked fourth with 26 interceptions, fifth with five defensive touchdowns and 10th in turnover margin at +1.45.

The Mustangs earned 17 MAC All-Conference honors, including junior Dan Williams who was named the Offensive Player of the Year, senior Austin Tennessee who was named the Defensive Player of the Year and head coach Ed Hottle who was named the Coach of the Year.
