Sweeney Named Assistant Football Coach at Stevenson
OWINGS MILLS, Md. - Stevenson announced on Friday that Ed Sweeney, the 1989 Kodak Division II Coach of the Year at Dickinson and most recently the head coach at Mount Ida, has been hired as the defensive coordinator. Sweeney brings 32 years of college coaching experience to Stevenson.

STEVENSON, Md. - Stevenson University announced the appointment of Ed Hottle as head coach of its new NCAA Division III football program on Wednesday. He had served as the head football coach and assistant athletics director at Gallaudet University in Washington, D.C., since July 2005.

OWINGS MILLS, Md. - In an article in Friday's Baltimore Business Journal, Stevenson University officials released plans for a 3,500-seat stadium on the university's 84-acre Owings Mills campus that will also house the school's field hockey, soccer and lacrosse programs.

Stevenson to Field Division III Football Team in 2011
OWINGS MILLS, Md. - Stevenson University has announced that it is adding football to its roster of 19 NCAA Division III varsity sports for men and women. The University will recruit 40 to 50 student athletes for a developmental season to start in fall 2010 and kick off intercollegiate play in fall 2011.
