Mustangs Drop A Pair to Webber International

BABSON PARK, Fla. – The Stevenson University women's beach volleyball team dropped both ends of a double dual to Webber International University by 3-2 scores Tuesday.

In the first match, Katie Leftridge and Emily Pellini were 21-18, 21-18 winners at No. 2, while at No. 3, Emily Castro and Caroline Dangel rallied for an 11-21 21-18, 15-6 triumph.

At No. 4, Webber rallied for a 19-21, 21-16, 15-8 win over Mackenzie Blevins and Grace Chaffee.

In the second match of the day, Darian Hileman and Piper Connors held off Webber for a 21-12, 12-21, 15-12 win at No. 1.  The other Mustang point came from Blevins and Chaffee at No. 4, as they recorded a 21-14, 21-15 win.

Sarah Riggin and Sammy Porter went three sets at No. 5 before falling 15-21, 22-20, 15-10.

Stevenson is back in action Thursday when it travels to Saint Leo to take on a pair of Division II opponents in the host Lions and Florida Southern.
