ANNVILLE, Pa. – A total of 109 Stevenson University student-athletes competing in seven sports this past fall were named to the Fall, 2015 Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Academic Honor Roll. The fall honor roll encompasses the sports of men’s and women’s cross country, field hockey, football, men’s and women’s soccer and women’s volleyball.
The academic honor roll is comprised of student-athletes who compete in a varsity level sport and registered a term/semester GPA of 3.20 (on a 4.00 scale) or higher. Beginning in 2015-16, the MAC is allowing freshman to be eligible for the conference academic honor roll.
A total of eight Mustang student-athletes were members of the honor roll by posting a 4.0 during the fall semester. Junior Claudia Lohr of women’s cross country, freshman Ashton Leschke of football, sophomore Vincent Vita of men’s soccer, sophomore Hayley Crum and freshman Jessica Littlepage of women’s soccer and freshman Chelsea Ireland, senior Kelly McKenzie and freshman Moriah Savage of women’s volleyball all earned 4.0 GPAs in the fall.
Football had a total of 35 student-athletes honored, followed by women’s soccer with 19 and men’s soccer with 16. Women’s volleyball and field hockey placed 14 and 13 student-athletes, respectively, while women’s cross country had seven runners honored, and men’s cross country had five student-athletes recognized.
The MAC Fall Academic Honor Roll recognized a total of 1,377 student-athletes, with 107 earning a 4.0 in the fall.
