Trainor begins his third year at Stevenson as an assistant athletic trainer in 2017-18.

Prior to Stevenson, Trainor served as an assistant athletic trainer from 2012-15 at Drexel University, working with the club sports. While with the Dragons, he provided game coverage for practice, games and athletic training room hours for 35 teams and over 1,300 athletes. He worked with the ice hockey, men's and women's rugby, field hockey, men's and women's lacrosse, baseball, softball, men's and women's basketball, men's and women's soccer and men's and women's volleyball.

While at Drexel, Trainor developed and coordinated a Safety Officer Program, Annual Club Sports Health Fair as well as a monthly Athletic Training Newsletter. He also provided coverage during the Collegiate Rugby Championship at PPL Park for Drexel's men's rugby team.

Since 2012, Trainor has provided medical coverage for specific sporting events including US Open Squash, Northeast Qualifiers Volleyball Tournament, Running Works Camp and USA Soccer Developmental Camp.

Trainor earned his bachelor's in athletic training education from Towson University in 2012. During his time, he spent three and a half years as an athletic training student, assisting faculty athletic trainers. He provided practice, game and athletic training coverage for the Towson men's lacrosse team, Calvert Hall College High School football team and John Hopkins football team.
